MEDIK8 PEELS

Our peels are recommended in a course of 6 over 12 weeks for best results. All clients wishing to do a course of peels will need to be using at a minimum the MEDIK8 CSA philosophy (Vitamin C, Sunscreen, Vitamin A - does not have to be the medik8 range however it needs to be a cosmeceutical grade skin care) for minimum 2 weeks prior to prep the skin for best results.

We have a variety of different peels available depending on skin concerns; pigmentation, scarring, congestion, fine lines, brightening and refining skin texture. After a thorough consultation with one of our skin experts we will advise your bespoke treatment plan.

ADVANCED PEEL TREATMENT 60MIN $195

Our advanced peel facial combines two of our favorites, for deep targeted exfoliation and indulgent relaxation. After a thorough consultation with one of our skin experts your treatment will be tailored to your specific skin concerns and conditions.

Our advanced facial includes our Dermalux LED treatment, signature face, neck, décolletage and arm massage, Bio Cellulose mask for its deep hydration, anti inflammation and skin cooling benefits. The result is a clear, refined and luminous complexion. Finish your treatment that night with a take home Vitamin A sachet for ultimate results.

Circadia’s Chemical Peel Systems are designed to help accelerate exfoliation or peeling. The immediate benefit of a light peel is a general brightening of the skin’s appearance through the removal of surface proteins.

The chemical peel treatments available are varied in strength from a very light gel based peel to the more aggressive ethanol based peel.

Gel based peels are gentle, very well tolerated and extremely effective. There is little to no downtime and you should not experience flaking or peeling.

Ethanol Advanced Peels are ideal for those looking to experience moderate to heavy peeling such as our Mandeliclear peel and Jessners peel.

Circadia Peels provide a range of effective, highly specialised treatments for different skin needs including Acne, Pigmentation and Scarring.

Mandeliclear 45min $240 // course of 3 $650

This peel combines Mandelic, Salicylic, Lactic and Resorcinol acids. Designed to brighten post-inflammatory pigmentation due to acne, melasma or sun damage. We add additional layers of Vitamin A accelerator to increase peeling and benefits. You can expect full skin peeling from day 2/3-5.

This peel can be repeated monthly or as recommended by therpist, a course of 3 should see a good result depending on skin concerns.

Jessner 45min $240 // course of 3 $650

A medium depth peel designed to treat pigmentation, acne, sun damage and hyperpigmentation. You can expect full skin peeling day 2/3-5.

WHY WE RATE PEELS

Chemical peels are fast-becoming the number one clinical skin treatment worldwide. ARE PEELS RIGHT FOR EVERYONE?

Chemical peels are suitable for almost everyone and at Medik8 we have a varied range from our Sensitive PHA Peel which is suitable for very sensitive skins right through to our mono peels which use high-strength single acids which can even be layered to target stubborn concerns like pigmentation. Certain skin conditions / clients may need more support to ensure skin is normalised before a course of peels eg those with an impaired skin barrier. Unfortunately, we also do not recommend peels for pregnant or nursing Mums. However, there are lots of other professional facial and body treatment options we offer too - with the incredible results you've come to expect from Medik8 plus beautiful pampering textures and divine fragrances to ensure a very memorable experience. WHAT'S THE DOWNTIME?

By definition, the application of acids to the skin may cause redness, skin flaking and mild peeling; but every skin is different. We recommend not to wear makeup for the first 12 hours post-peel to ensure the skin remains bacteria-free. You will be recommended a comprehensive aftercare routine to continue with at home to ensure your skin recovers and rejuvenates correctly. As a general rule, expect flaking from around the 3rd day post-peel for a maximum of 5 further days. You should avoid direct sun exposure during these recovery days and always wear a broad spectrum sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30. We recommend clients go home with our Physical Sunscreen which is a mineral, non-nano, broad spectrum sunscreen SPF 30 which provides great protection and as a mineral sunscreen is very gentle on compromised skin. To keep things simple, we offer a Post-Treatment Kit as part of your peel aftercare, with everything you'll need in 1 pack.

CAN'T I JUST HAVE 1 PEEL TO IMPROVE MY SKIN?

It is possible to just have a single peel, but we recommend a course of 6 to really see the long-term skin benefits. It's a little like going to the gym; you can go occasionally but the real results will come when you commit to an ongoing programme. WHAT RESULTS CAN I EXPECT?

24 hours post-peel your skin will likely feel a little tight and appear slightly flushed. Within 3 days your skin will start to flake but within the week you will start to see clearer, more uniform skin tone. Over a course of 6 peels, results will be even more visibly profound. We recommend taking pictures of your progress either on your own phone or many of our clinics have facial imaging equipment that can extensively track your skin's improvement across such parameters as wrinkle depth, clarity, water content etc; dependent on the skin concern you are treating.
